Slow Cooker Chicken Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice

  • 3 cups of water

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of paprika

  • 2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced

  • 4 chicken thighs

  • 3 tablespoons of honey



Preparation:

  • Place the rice, two cups of water, and the spices in the slow cooker. Use a spoon to stir and combine.

  • Top with the sweet potatoes and chicken, arranging everything so it fits in one layer.

  • Drizzle with honey.

  • Cook on HIGH for one to three hours.

  • Add the last cup of water as needed. You can add more water if the rice seems dry.

  • Cook for an additional six to eight hours at medium-low heat.
