CHINESE HONEY SESAME CHICKEN 2 INSTAPOT

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds (900 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1- to 2-inch pieces

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) low sodium Tamari soy sauce

  • 1/3 cup (113 g) honey

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) of water

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce

  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons of chopped ginger

CORNSTARCH PASTE:

  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of water

DECORATION:

  • 3 sliced green onions

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds



Preparation

  • First, add the chicken to the chopped ginger from the ingredient list in the OAP

  • Then mix everything together, close the lid, seal, pressure cook on high/manual pressure for four (4) minutes.

  • When finished, perform a quick pressure release and open the lid.

  • Then remove the chicken and leave the sauce (or you can leave the chicken).

  • Then Select Saute mode.

  • Prepare the cornstarch paste by combining the cornstarch and water in a bowl until smooth.

  • Add the mixture to the OAP and combine. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens, 2 to 4 minutes (or to your liking).
