Ingredients :
1 large onion
6 large potatoes or 3 + 3 sweet potatoes
1 cup of beans (soaked overnight)
1/2 cup of barley
6 squares of meat
1 tablespoon of chicken broth
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of coffee
3 tablespoons of sweet paprika
2 tablespoons of garlic powder
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 tablespoon of salt
squirt of ketchup
water until all the ingredients are covered
Preparation:
Place the sliced onion, diced potatoes, coarsely diced sweet potatoes, beans, barley, and meat in a pressure cooker in this order.
Then add the condiments.
Cover with water.
Cook on LOW power for 8 hours.
Clarification about beans:
The way to soak them is: the night before, leave them in a bowl soaking them in water, and the other possibility is, 1 hour before making the cholent, put them in a covered pot with water, put them on the fire, and when it starts to boil, turn off the heat, cover the pot and let it rest for an hour.
