MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE (ANDREA G)

Ingredients :

  • 200gr hot chocolate

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of brown sugar

  • 100 g of butter

  • 250 g of ground sugar

  • 2 cups of self-rising flour previously sifted with a teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1/4 cup water



Preparation

  • Thicken 200g of chopped chocolate, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 egg yolk, and 1 cup of brown sugar over the stove or in the microwave. DO NOT boil.

  • Beat 100g of butter with 1 cup (250g) of powdered sugar. When the mixture is creamy, add 2 egg yolks one at a time, beating well.

  • Add 2 cups of self-rising flour previously sifted with a teaspoon of baking soda, alternating with ¼ cup of water mixed with ½ cup of milk.

  • Fold together the cold chocolate cream and the remaining 2 egg whites, beaten until stiff.

  • Bake in a moderate oven for about 1 hour in a well-greased and floured pan.
