Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients :

  • 2 tablespoons of butter or vegan margarine

  • 2 tablespoons of flour

  • 1 cup of vegetable or chicken broth

  • ½ cup non-dairy creamer or coconut milk

  • 1 can of sliced mushrooms

  • 2 cans of beans cut French style

  • 1 can of onion rings



PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 160°C. 2. Melt vegan butter in a 5-quart pot over medium heat. Whisk in flour and simmer for 1 minute. 3. Add vegetable broth (parve) or chicken broth (beef) and non-dairy cream or coconut milk. 4. Stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in canned mushrooms and green beans. Place in a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes. 5. Top with onion rings and bake for 5 more minutes or until the onion rings are golden brown.
