DAIRY MARBLE CAKE (With parve alternative)

Who hasn't wondered how this beautiful cake is made? Here's the recipe for this delicious and eye-catching marbled cake.


Ingredients:

4 large eggs at room temperature

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of unsalted butter, at room temperature and soft (this is 200 g of butter or 180 ml of oil)

1 cup of whole milk (or vegetable milk)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups of flour

2 teaspoons of baking powder

For the chocolate part:

3 tablespoons of cocoa powder (pure unsweetened cocoa)

1/4 cup whole milk (or plant milk)

1 tablespoon of sugar


How is it prepared :

Grease and flour a 24cm round baking tin.

Sift the flour and baking powder, mix, and set aside. In a small bowl, mix the milk, cocoa, and sugar well. Set aside.

Place the butter, vanilla, and sugar in a mixer and beat slowly until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix until well combined. Gradually add the flour mixture to the milk and flour mixture until everything is well incorporated.

Remove two cups of the dough, place in a separate bowl and add the reserved chocolate mixture, mix until it completely changes color to brown.

Have two tablespoons on hand for each color of batter to create the layers.

Start from the center of the mold, take a spoonful of white batter and then add a spoonful of chocolate batter on top, repeat these steps until all the batter is used (or if you prefer just add one batter on top of the other and create swirls with a knife to create the marble effect).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Bake for approximately 55 to 60 minutes. After this time, insert a toothpick in the center to see if the cake is ready.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
