Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic INSTAPOT

Ingredients

  • 25 Brussels sprouts (about ¾ pound, cut in half crosswise)

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil

  • 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)

  • 1 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ tsp. black pepper (freshly ground)

  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds (toasted)



Preparation

1. Place the Brussels sprouts in a steamer basket. Add water to the Instant Pot insert and place the rack inside. Place the steamer basket on the rack. Then cover the pot and secure the lid. Select the "Steam" function and use the "+/-" keys to set the cooking time to 1 minute. Make sure the steam release valve is set to "Sealing."

2. When cooking stops, quickly release the pressure. Unlock to remove the lid. Then, transfer the Brussels sprouts to a serving dish using tongs and discard the water.

Dry the inner pot with a clean kitchen towel.

3. To make the sauce, select "Sauté" on the pot's display panel and add oil to sauté for 1 minute. Add the Brussels sprouts, garlic, pepper, and salt, and sauté.

4. Serve hot, sprinkled with sesame seeds.
