Brownie, Dulce de Leche, and Meringue Cake

Ingredients Servings: 16 For the brownie base

  • 115 grams of butter

  • 200 grams of sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 30 grams of bitter cocoa powder

  • 60 grams of all-purpose flour

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 500 grams of dulce de leche For the meringue

  • 3 egg whites

  • 1 cup of sugar



Preparation : 25 mins › Cooking time: 30 mins › Ready in: 55 mins

  • Preheat oven to 180 C (moderate).

  • Grease a springform pan. For the brownies:

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Remove from heat and add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk in the unsweetened cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth. Do not overbeat.

  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool.

  • Once cooled, cover with dulce de leche. Set aside.

  • Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff and spread them over the cake with a spatula, forming peaks.
