QUICK SWEET AND SOUR BEEF

Ingredients

  • 4 rib-eye steaks cut into strips approximately 2 lbs, 900 g

  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced

  • 3-4 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2/3 cup red wine

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 4 teaspoons of brown sugar

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Mix the wine, garlic, soy sauce, mustard, and sugar in a large bowl, add the strips of meat, and let marinate for 30 minutes.

  • Fry the onion over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and set aside.

  • Remove the strips of meat from the marinade with a slotted spoon and fry them in the onion pan over medium-high heat for about a minute on each side. The amount of time will depend on how well-done you like your meat.

  • Add the marinade and simmer until the marinade thickens and adheres to the meat.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
