POTATO LATKES 1

Ingredients :

  • 1 kg of peeled potatoes

  • 3/4 tablespoons of all-purpose flour

  • salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

  • Optional: grated onion

  • Oil for frying


Preparation

  • Grate the raw, peeled potatoes. Place in a colander to drain the water. DO NOT WASH, BECAUSE THE STARCH WILL BE THE STRAIN.

  • transfer to a deep container.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste, and the flour. Mix everything well. You can also add grated onion.

  • In a frying pan, add oil and heat over medium-low heat.

  • Start by adding 1 heaped tablespoon of the dough and press it down a little.

  • let it brown and turn it over

  • Remove and place in a bowl lined with paper towel.
