ORANGE OR MANDARIN SPONGE CAKE

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs

  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar

  • 1 cup of orange or tangerine juice

  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder

  • A pinch of baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

  • 3/4 cup oil

  • Orange or tangerine zest


Preparation

  • Beat the egg whites until stiff, add the sugar slowly, the eggs one by one, and alternate the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda) with the liquid ingredients (oil, juice, vanilla)

  • Put everything together well

  • Grease and flour a mold, pour the preparation and bake for 45 or 50 minutes.
