Apple Tatin

Ingredients

  • 1 shortcrust or puff pastry.

  • 900 gr of apples

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 150 g of sugar

  • 100 g of margarine



Preparation

  • Prepare a caramel in a pan or ovenproof mold by melting the sugar in a little water, adding the margarine and mixing well.

  • Peel the apples, remove the core and cut into quarters.

  • Sprinkle them with lemon juice

  • Place the apples in the pot or pan with caramel in a spiral, overlapping each other, so that they cover the bottom of the pan well.

  • Cut the puff pastry into a circle the size of the mold or pan and place it on top of the apples until they are completely covered.

  • Prick the dough

  • Bake at 350° for approximately 40 minutes

  • Remove from the oven and wait 10 minutes to unmold (make sure it is not freshly baked but the caramel has not hardened)
