SPANISH APPLE TART

Ingredients : - 1 cup of sugar (250 gr.), - 1 cup of plain flour (250 gr.), - 1 kg. of yellow apples, - ½ sachet of yeast, - 2 eggs (you can try adding only one or none and it will come out even better), - peach or apricot jam. Preparation :

  • Peel and chop the apples, setting one aside. Place them in a blender with the flour and sugar. Add the eggs and yeast and blend until smooth.

  • Grease a 26 cm diameter mold with oil or butter and cover it with the resulting dough and cover it with apple slices that we have made with the apple that we reserved.

  • Sprinkle sugar on top and place in the oven at about 200ºC for about 30 or 40 minutes, depending on the oven. When you check that it is cooked (with a crochet needle), turn off the oven and turn on the grill to caramelize the apple slices.

  • Let it cool and then pour apricot jam on top.
